Assessment System Design

Eligibility Non‑Resident Program

Eligible candidates must have graduated from a Chiropractic College or University which is certified by a National College accrediting agency of the USA or equivalent permisso in other countries or regions. (Rationale: Parody of Chiropractic discipline applicable for examination.)

Applicants for examination must hold a license to practice in a State in the USA or equivalent permisso in other countries or regions. (Rationale: Rehabilitation is a domain in Chiropractic. Individuals must be able to practice Chiropractic to perform the rehabilitation domain.)

Applicant for non‑resident programs must hold licenses for three years before sitting for the unwritten oral examination. (Rationale: To afford a challenge to the individual’s moral and ethical standing in practice.)

Applicants must have never been convicted of a felony. (Rationale: The moral and ethical conduct must be kept to the highest standard.)

The applicant must have successfully completed requirements of that level before sitting that levels examination. Success is measured by documented completion of a minimum of 100hr per registration level. Programs may also test for aptitude. (Rationale: This is to afford maximum preparation for applicant's performance.)

It is the applicant's responsibility to show proof of eligibility. It is also expected that program institutions and Chiropractic Colleges or Universities will keep accurate records. (Rationale: This is to have a single area of record keeping and responsibility of records.)

There are multiple levels of attainment. There are registered levels and diplomate. Each rehabilitation level program can be taken in any order. Testing, registration and certification requirement are described in previous sections of this document (Rationale: Topic contents for testing, registration and certification are needed from all levels.)

Eligibility Resident Program

Application for residency programs must hold licenses before sitting the certification of diplomate status examination. (Rationale: To afford a challenge to the individual's moral and ethical standing in practice.)

The applicant must have successful completed level core requirements deemed by the resident director before they can sit the level examination. Subsequent level and diplomate examinations will occur when the previous examination has been successfully completed including successful completion of the next core requirements deemed by the resident director. Course Accrediting

All Board/College approved rehabilitation certification programs must be accredited by nationally/regional accredited chiropractic college.

These programs must follow Board/College approved education outlines.

Role delineation topics and reference material is adopted by the ACCRS.

(Rational: The ACCRS develops studies to keep abreast of current clinical research)

Role delineation topics and referenced materials are approved by the ACCRS and tested by the ACRB.

(Rational: The ACRB is in charge of testing and referencing along with governence. The ACCRS will research the process resulting in parity for continuity of all the programs being taught.)
